e event with a Confirmation!
This is an opportunity for parish priests to bring their young people along
to be confirmed in the context of an e event. Last year, St Pauls Church,
Grangetown hosted the first ever confirmation at an e event. This year we
go home to the Cathedral.
Hundreds of young people get confirmed every year in the diocese, reminding
us that young people are still interested in following Jesus and being members
of his church. If you would like to bring young people to be confirmed then
please contact the Youth Chaplain. Young people who are considering confirmation
should see their parish priest.
Here's what Nathan wrote...
" Next Sunday as you all know (or you should anyway) there is an e event at Mountain Ash Comp School. EVERYONE is welcome, even if you haven't been before. I would say that e is for confirmation candidates to about 19 - 20 years of age. But saying that, we have seen an increase in our older church members going to such events. Come along you will be supprised how good it is!!!
During the next few weeks, St. Luke's servers
will be recieving material to do a service on Pentecost. Lets give it all
we got this time!! We always do well but our volume could be improved, so
lets give it all we got this time.
St. Johns you too will be recieving info from Geraint.
A sleepover is in our midst! Just one thing to add here is "Why do we call it a sleepover, does anyone ever sleep??" I think Geraint has organised it for two weeks friday (22nd) but dont take my word for it ask him!!
I will try and keep you all up to date with any youth events in the Diocese, and may be we can start getting out there and representing ourselves more.
Any Probs give me a ring,
In His Service
Nathan
