St Davids Day 2009 - Social Evening
On 2nd March,2009 St John's held a St. Davids Day Celebration in the form of a Social evening in the Church Hall. The Entertainment was supplied by several members of St. John's with a solo given by Sam Brown from our Welsh Class and contributions from Tricia Francis and her daughter Carrie. Welsh Teacher, Heulwen, sang and then with her guitar accompanied the combined voices of our Welsh class and those from Trealaw Welsh class. The rendition of "Ar lan y Mor' and 'Lawr ar Lan y Mor' was enjoyed by all. Thanks goes to all who worked so hard to mkake this event a great success. Special thanks goes to Father Chris who took the trouble to learn and say the grace before the meal in Welsh.
