Sweet Treat from Church
A Charity recieved a boost thanks to tubes of Smarties - which were dished out during a Sunday Service just before Lent last year(2005).
The tubes were given to the congregations of St. John's Church, Cymmer and St. Luke's Church, Llwyncelyn. Father Graham Lloyd and his wife Christine invited the recipients to eat the Smarties and then fill the empty tubes with money.
In total, £420 was collected and this was presented to Rhondda Breast Friends at the Harvest Service in St. Luke's.
