John's Summer Fete was held on Saturday 30th July at St John's
Centre - See the pictures HERE
St
John's Gift Day 2005 raised £808.89. This is an increase
on last year's total and is a very pleasing amount. With the addition of £113.26
which will be recovered from tax by way of Gift Aid, the Church has benefitted
to the extent of £922.15. Many thanks to everyone for the generosity
shown which enables the church to continue its work in this parish.

John's Strawberry Tea was held on Saturday 9th July at St John's

Tsunami
Disaster Appeal
Diana Gudge and other members of St John's Church, Cymmer and Porth, spent five days at the Pioneer Stores in Porth.
Diana Gudge was very busy once again, collecting at Pioneer Stores, Porth in aid of the disaster. Together with the help of other Church members Diana spent five days at the store. The response by members of the public was overwhelming and amounted to £5630. Diana sends her grateful thanks to all who gave so generously.
A Coffee Morning was also held in St John's Church Hall in aid of the disaster where a further £1052 was raised. A big thankyou to all who gave clothing, bedding and toiletries etc.
A really wonderful response - thank you all.
